John is someone who knows how to program, but is using this project as an excuse to learn JavaScript.  Ryan is his 10-year-old son who is learning how to write code in Python.

I had a lot of fun working on this one, although really didn't have the time to give it the effort it deserves.  The sounds in this game (including the background song!) were done by Ryan.   This was a game jam game with time constraints and graphic design limitations.  And a ton of unimplemented features are just begging to be implemented on this one.  I didn't have time to test much of the networking.

(NOTE:  This is really a two player game.  Have a friend open the game on their browser. You can technically open it on two browsers on one PC if you just want to see the game, but then you're not playing against an opponent and it won't really give the experience).

To play the game, it's best to make sure your browser is FULL SCREEN.  Click to start a Server and give it a name.  Then have a friend click to Start a Client on their browser and have at it!  Winner is whoever takes all of their opponent's Kings first.  Make sure to use the mini-map in the lower left to help you navigate around.
